Newborn E | Hudson Valley Lifestyle Photographer
Waaaaay back in March of 2014, I received an inquiry for a newborn session for a little man who was due in September. At the time, they weren’t sure if they’d be able to book a session. Nonetheless, we chatted a ton and found ourselves disappointed when they ultimately decided it was out of their budget.
Fast forward 3 months later…. Mama contacts me again. They saved up, they budgeted, they cut costs, and they are ready to book a newborn session. What an honor! That is a compliment of the highest order, in my opinion.
We decided on a lifestyle session in their home so we could include their furbaby in some shots. I love being to capture a whole family like this!
Newborn E decided he wanted to be awake for the family shots, but he quickly decided that it was boring and taking a nap would be preferable. At which point, we decided to take advantage of his naptime and incorporate some meaningful props – a newspaper from his birth day, mama & daddy’s wedding rings, some vintage baseball items. I was also able to get some really great shots of his gorgeous nursery. Didn’t mama do a great job decorating?!
This newborn session was like a breath of fresh air for me. It was the perfect mix of posed and lifestyle, with unique little touches to make it truly meaningful for mama & daddy. Thank you so much, J & V, for welcoming me into your home and allowing me the absolute honor of capturing E’s newborn portraits!!
